This unit provides the most intense level of treatment for mental health and addictive disorders, including danger of suicide or other self-harm. We treat a diverse group of patients with a wide range of conditions and problems, including bipolar disorder, addiction and substance abuse, major depression and psychotic disorders such as schizophrenia. We respect your heart, mind and voice at all times and will tailor an individual care plan based on your specific needs. These help to focus our attention, improve our self-awareness and let go of unnecessary anxieties, thought processes and distractions that keep us from living in the now. Our Boost your Mood sessions focus on the practical things we can do to support our physical and emotional wellbeing at this time. We explore food, sleep and activities to keep our minds occupied, as well as some simple grounding techniques to help reduce anxious feelings. Within these sessions we will explore common causes of anxiety and discover some simple techniques to help relieve the symptoms of anxiety. We will also identify some useful tools and actions for you to take away and try out.
